Life in the ruins

—There is no greater adventurer than the world itself.

The world has lived through countless battles, it has witnessed unforgettable moments that sometimes only it knows. Of course, the passing of time can affect it: the storms bring down its trees, the sea floods the land, people build their cities... but it is still there, unending.
Everything in it leaves traces of past moments. When I get lost in the deepest forests I still find remains of vanished civilizations, great arches and stone columns severely and irreparably damaged that once were the symbol of a great power in better times, today invaded by creepers and moss.

Solitary waterfalls continue to drop water like inconsolable tears that never cease, at the sunlight and at the mercy of the moon, every day, every night.
Even in the midst of the darkness the stars linger in the sky, and the earth creates paths for those who are lost, or instead let their bodies rest. To lie down, to be one with nature, to look up, to enjoy the moment. And the dark swallows will return, the cherry blossoms will bloom, the breeze of the days when you and I will meet in our spring.

Like life in the ruins, our feelings will last over time forever.
